MOUNT HOPE ASPHALT:
Our new state-of-the-art asphalt plant opened early 2013. It offers quick, easy and safe entrance and exit and significantly reduced turnaround times compared to our old Mt Hope asphalt plants. For added speed and convenience, the plant offers separate COD and Call In Order Systems, no need for drivers to leave their trucks. COD customers speak their orders via intercom and send their payments via an air tube, similar to drive-through banking.
The 600 tons per hour Gencor Drum plant is warm mix and RAP compatible. The plant's Gencor Ultraplant TM technology is the most fuel efficient and environmentally clean design in the hot-mix industry.
It features a 120,000 CFM baghouse, 10 10' x 16' cold feed bins, 3 10' x 15' RAP bins and 4 35,000 gallon vertical asphalt tanks. It also offers automatic sampling for Quality Control, DOT and Authority Lab Stations in view of plant with sampling platform at the truck exit.
The state-of-the-art quality control lab has five dedicated staff members who are state-certified.
* Mount Hope Asphalt is the recipient of a NAPA 2013 Diamond Achievement Award and a 2013 Diamond Quality Commendation Award.
* Mount Hope Quarry won the 2013 NSSGA Gold Award for Environmental Excellence and was also awarded the NSSGA's Two Gold Stars of Excellence Award. This special recognition goes to a location which has won two gold awards within the past five years. Mount Hope Quarry won gold in the Environmental category for 2013 and gold in the Community Relations category for 2010.
Take I-287 to I-80 W going towards Pennsylvania to Exit 35B (Mt. Hope). Go directly to the top of the hill-at the top of the hill make a left onto Mt. Hope Road. Continue approximately 1 mile to the end of the road. Plant is straight ahead.
